About the Author
Jack Hodgson started helping
beginner Macintosh users back in 1984. He was the founding
director of the legendary "BCSMac" Boston Macintosh Users
Group. He's taught beginners on using the Mac, MS Word, MS
Excel, Filemaker, graphics programs, and many others.
Hodgson contributed to Cynthia
Harriman's ground-breaking book, The MS-DOS Mac
Connection, he was co-author with Harriman of the
Macintosh Today column: Macintosh Advisor, in
the early 90s he was a Product Marketing Manager for Apple
Computer in Cupertino, California, and he has used every
version of the Mac OS since 1.0.
Hodgson specializes in patiently,
and in a non-technical way, helping beginners to understand
the "everyday features" of their computer system so that
they can use it in a fun and productive way.
